Romanian language lesson: Feminine nouns. Forming the plural

A feminine nouns designs a word referring to a female person, female animal, female bird, professions of female persons and nationalities regarding a female person.

Certain objects are feminine: cartecărți (book), masămese (table), some fruits: portocalăportocale (orange), lămâielămâi (lemon), some vegetables: roșieroșii (tomato), conopidăconopide (cauliflower).

The plural ending for a feminine word can be: -e, -i or -uri.

Vowels and consonants mutations in the stem can also occur.
