Romanian private healthcare operator MedLife has taken over the imaging center Prima Medical located in Craiova.

It is the third deal carried out by MedLife this year, after the company bought a 55% stake in the SAMA & Ultratest group and has started the process for acquiring the majority stake in the Stem Cells Bank from Timisoara.

Prima Medical has been active for more than 11 years on the local market. The company had a turnover of RON 4 million (EUR 890,000) in 2014.

At the beginning of the year, MedLife focused on greenfield projects, developing five new units in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca, said Mihai Marcu, MedLife President. In the second half of the year, the company planned to complete five, six transactions.
