Romanian drug producer Antibiotice Iasi recorded in the first quarter of the year a net profit of EUR 1.3 million, up 15% year-on-year.

Its sales totaled EUR 11.8 million, down 17% compared to the first three months of 2014, but 3% higher than the company’s estimates for 2015. International sales amounted to EUR 1.28 million in the first quarter of 2015.

The drug producer has negotiated a new distribution contract on the US market, and will start delivering products in the second part of the year.

Antibiotice Iasi also initiated new collaborations for markets in Europe, Russia, South-Eastern Asia and Middle East.
