Romanian Dacia's employees receive 5% increase in wages, EUR 317 bonus

Romanian carmaker Dacia, part of French group Renault, will increase the gross salaries of its operating workers by 5% (RON 150).

The company’s employees will also receive a gross bonus of RON 1,430 (EUR 317) for the results in 2015, following the negotiations for a new collective work agreement.

The operators working at Dacia earn almost double the average salary in Romania, according to company representatives. The average gross salary at the end of 2015 amounted to RON 4,700 (EUR 1,044), which included the basic salary, the bonuses, seniority, and overtime.

Besides that, employees also received food vouchers, health insurance, or subsidized transportation.

The net average wage in Romania reached RON 1,918 (EUR 423.5) in November last year, up by EUR 10.3 (or 2.5%) compared to the previous month.
