Romanian state-owned energy company Complexul Energetic Oltenia will start exporting coal to Serbia this month, based on a one-year contract. About 20,000 tonnes of coal will be delivered daily.

'The contract is a breath of fresh air for the company,’ said Daniel Antonie, the company’s mining division head. The company was close to sending its miners into technical unemployment for lack of contracts.
