Tiriac Energy, Tiriac Group's energy division, will officially open the first four gas stations in Romania this week following an investment of EUR 200,000, reports local Economica.net.

The gas stations will be run under a franchise system.

Ion Tiriac plans to reach a network of 150 fully automated gas stations. The company will rebrand independent gas stations and will attract 50 partners in this project.

The gas station network will operate under the name Tiriac Energy - Sincro and the first four stations will be located in Botosani, Zalau, Simleu-Silvaniei, and in the village of Dorobantu, Constanta county. The investment in rebranding each of these stations amounted to EUR 50,000.

There are several hundred gas stations in Romania that are well positioned but don’t have a strong brand, said Remus Hirceaga, general director of Tiriac Energy.

“The Tiriac Energy Sincro franchise network is the solution to this problem,” he added.

In 2015, Tiriac Energy took the strategic decision to start a new business line by developing a chain of gas stations.
