Romanian becomes new Country Director of Mio Romania and Hungary

Mio Technology, one of the largest GPS equipment producers worldwide, named Romanian Cosmin Dobranis as Country Director for its operations in Romania and Hungary, the company recently announced.

Dobranis, 32, has 12 years of experience in sales. He has worked for six years ad sales manager for Mio’s distributors in Romania and Hungary: LCP New Systems and Arobs Transylvania.

His mission is to increase the sales and notoriety of Mio products as well as to develop the company’s distribution network in the region. “I’m confident I will be able to increase Mio’s market share,” he said.

Mio aims for sales of EUR 1.5 million in Romania this year, up by about 5% compared to last year. The company has launched new GPS devices and video cameras for auto. “We have seven new GPS devices and 7 new cameras in our portfolio,” Dobranis said.

Mio currently has a market share of about 30% on these segments and aims to further increase it in 2015.
