Romania to remove cap for maternity leave

01 July 2015

The Government will remove the current limits for the parental leave starting January 1, said Labor Minister Rovana Plumb.

A parent that takes one year off from work to care for a newborn now gets 85% of his average revenues in the last 12 months, but no more than RON 3,400 (EUR 760).

“We are working on an integrated services package for children, which includes the removal of the RON 3,400 ceiling,” Plumb said, cited by local Wall-street.ro.
