Romania to host second leg of Ice Climbing World Cup this week

Romania will host 77 athletes from 15 countries at the Ice Climbing World Cup at the Busteni mountain resort starting on Wednesday, January 15.

Athletes from Azerbaijan, Canada, the Czech Republic, Korea, Switzerland, France, Iran, Italy, Japan, UK, Russia, Slovenia, US, Ukraine and Romania will take part in the competition organized on the Kalinderu slope in Busteni.

The competition, which is a second stage of the world cup, is organized on 25-meter tall artificial structures partially covered with ice. The next stages will take place in Switzerland, France, Italy and Russia.
