Romania revises up economic growth expectation

Romania’s National Prognosis Commission (CNP) has revised up its prognosis on Romania’s economic growth in 2015 to 3.3%. It also changed its prognosis for 2016 to 3.4%.

In the winter prognosis, CNP expected a 2.8% GDP growth in 2015.

The GDP will amount to EUR 158 billion in 2015 and to EUR 167 billion in 2016. For 2017, the National Prognosis Commission expects an economic growth of 3.7%, whereas for 2018 it estimates a 4% economic growth.

This year, the final consumption will go up by 3.1%, while in 2016 it will increase by 3.3%.
