Romania’s balance of payments reduced its deficit 12 times in the first four months of the year compared to the same period last year.

This went down from EUR 326 million to EUR 27 million, as the surplus of the secondary income account increased by EUR 456 million and the surplus of the services balance was up by EUR 74 million.

The services balance had a surplus of EUR 1.93 billion, up from EUR 1.85 billion, whereas the goods balance increased its deficit from EUR 1.58 billion to EUR 1.76 billion.

For the secondary income, the surplus doubled from EUR 398 million to EUR 854 million.
