Romania imports more milk
Romania’s dairy factories collected 705,800 tons of cow milk in the first nine months of this year, down by almost 70,000 tons (9%) compared to the same period of last year.
Instead, Romania’s milk imports went up by 6,300 tons (11%), reaching 64,200 tons, according to data released by the National Statistics Institute (INS).
The local dairy factories produced 13.4% more cream, 8.5% more yogurt, 7% more cheese, and 2% more fresh milk.
