Romania has 142 air quality monitor stations

Romania currently has 142 fixed stations to monitor air quality across the country, said Gratiela Gavrilescu, the Minister of Environment, Water and Forests.

The Ministry has created nationwide zones and agglomerations to manage air quality, namely 13 agglomerations, reports local Agerpres. These are areas with over 250,000 inhabitants, while 41 zones are defined based on county borders.

The 142 stations are of different types, such as traffic, industrial, urban, suburban.
