The Romanian authorities and European Commission officials have concluded negotiations on the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme, for the transport, environment and energy components.

The documents were officially sent to Brussels on June 15, according to the EU funds Minister Marius Nica. This means that starting July, Romania will have EUR 9.41 billion available for transport, energy and environment infrastructure, Nica added.

The Operational Programme Large Infrastructure allocates only EUR 3 billion. The National Programme for Rural Development offers additional financing.
