Romania becomes third largest grain exporter to markets outside the EU
Romania’s grain exports to markets outside the European Union reached 2 million tons between June 1 and October 14. This makes Romania the third largest grain exporter in the EU, after France and Germany, writes local Ziarul Financiar.
France exported 3 million tons of grains outside the EU and Germany exported 2.8 million tons.
The largest markets outside the EU for Romanian grains are Egypt, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Turkey and Syria. Romania harvested 21 million tons of grains this year, the third largest crop in the last 27 years.
