Renovations, new constructions help Romanian Temad Co up turnover to EUR 20 mln

23 October 2014

Romanian company Temad Co, one of the largest importers and distributors of auxiliary products for construction and industry, upped its turnover by 13% in the first nine months of 2014, to EUR 20.7 million.

The increase was mainly supported by renovation projects and new constructions, according to the company. Florin Madar, the owner of the company, expects a moderate increase in the fourth quarter of 2014 and a 10% increase for the entire year.

Between January and September, the company distributed 19 million items and 6.5 sqm of fiberglass mesh.

“The investment in production has supported our development on an insecure market that is continuing its decline in 2014,” said Florin Madar, general manager Temad Group.

The company’s factory produced 6.3 million sqm of fiberglass mesh in the first nine months of the year. The factory was built in 2013 with an investment of EUR 1 million and has an annual production capacity of some 9 million sqm. It is located in Brasov, Central Romania, and has 50 employees.

Temad Co has 14 local branches with deposits and has a portfolio of over 3,000 products. Products distributed by Temad are present in all modern do-it-yourself networks, in over 80% of the other networks, supermarkets, hypermarkets, discounters, over 4,000 traditional stores and over 1,000 factories, construction sites, shops or service stations.

Temad Co ended 2013 with a turnover of EUR 25 million and 220 employees. Temad Group is owned by Florin Madar and Anca Madar and is based in Brasov.
