In a first stage, RCS & RDS will increase the mobile Internet speed in Constanta and other seaside resorts, Iasi, Galati, Braila, Pitesti, Arad, Drobeta Turnu Severin, Bacau and Vaslui. In the second stage, to be completed by end-March, the higher speeds will also be available in Bucharest, Ilfov, Brasov, Cluj, Timisoara, Craiova, Oradea, Sibiu, Targu Mures, Baia Mare, Satu Mare, Ramnicu Valcea, Hunedoara, Ploiesti, Resita, Slatina, and Targu Jiu.

Digi Mobil offers various subscriptions for prices between EUR 2 and EUR 10 per month. RCS & RDS has activities in Romania, Hungary, Spain, Italy and the Czech Republic. It offers cable TV services, Internet, landline and mobile telephony, as well as runs several TV stations.

RCS & RDS has some of the fastest fixed broadband connections in Romania, with download speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps. However, the company is still far behind its main competitors when it comes to mobile broadband connection speed.

Orange, the country’s leading mobile carrier already offers its clients 4G+ download speeds of up to 300 Mbps in six Romanian cities and has most of the large cities covered with 4G. Vodafone and Deutsche Telekom also offer 4G with download speeds of up to 150 Mbps in most of the larger cities.
