Professional Women’s Network Romania launches second edition of its Mentoring Program

24 October 2014

The second edition of the Mentoring Program organized by the Romanian branch of the Professional Women’s Network (PWN) was launched in mid-October. A total of 67 women attended the launching event, out of which 17 mentors and 27 mentees, all members of the PWN association and their guests.

The program focuses on creating one-to-one personal and professional relationships between a mentor and a mentee within the association PWN Romania. The mentor is the person holding a large amount of professional experience and wishing to share this experience with the mentee, who is at the beginning level of her successful career. At a more general level, the Mentoring Program represents a tool for encouraging and promoting the professional development of women, at each stage of their career.

In Romania, PWN was founded at the end of 2011 and currently has 110 members. Almost 70% of the members are aged below 45, they are active in more than 20 fields of activity. Almost half of the members are general managers, while 36% are entrepreneurs.

At the global level, the association was founded in 2003 in Paris. It has branches in Europe, South America and the Middle East and counts a total of 4,000 members of more than 90 nationalities.
