British retail payment operator PayPoint recorded revenues of EUR 42.9 million in Romania in the fiscal year which ended on March 31. These went up by 8.5% compared to the previous fiscal year, when they reached EUR 39.5 million.

PayPoint  posted last year a volume of 53.5 million bill payment transactions, up 36.8% compared to the previous year. It also saw increases in other payment segments, such as the electronic loading of prepaid phone cards.

The company grew its network with 880 partner stores, reaching 9,234 payment points in the whole country.

At a group level, PayPoint posted a record volume of 812.7 million transactions, up 5.9% over the previous year.
