TEDxBucharest 2013 is now up and running. How would you feel about meeting the most influential people on one of this year’s most long-expected events?

On the 9th of November, TEDxBucharest will gather more than 15 speakers and thinkers who will inspire us by sharing their experiences and innovative ideas on journalism, entrepreneurship, law, extreme sports and traveling, technology and design. This year's TEDxBucharest main event theme is "Make it happen".

TEDxBucharest 2013 is featuring a selection of leading visionaries, storytellers and achievers. We proudly announce some of the speakers that will inspire us from the TEDxBucharest’s stage:

Karina Hollekim is another great example for all of us. We will witness a speech on determination, passion, sports and hope. Karina is a Norwegian free skier and BASE jumper. She is the the first female athlete to complete a ski BASE. In August 2006 she had a near-fatal crash after her parachute failed during a routine parachuting jump - her legs were fractured in 21 places, but she miraculously recovered and returned to her true passion - skiing.

Simina Tănăsescu will focus on constitutional law and will explain why the so-called legal transplants don’t always work in a local environment.

Paul Radu, a successful investigative journalist, is going along and across the globe in order to find black money trail. Helped by Google and the worls’s most skilled online hackers, he closely follows and identifies transnational organized crimes.

George Popescu is a true inspiration for us in business development and product innovation. Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Boston Technologies, his success can be directly attributed to George's ability to engineer creative and robust solutions that cater to the specific needs of banks, brokerages and hedge funds.

Yana Buhrer Tavanier, a mental health activist and an investigative journalist, is working to expose the inhuman treatment of children and adults with intellectual and mental-health disabilities in the Balkans. She is the Campaign Director of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee, the country's largest human-rights .

Sabina Allistar is a PhD candidate at Stanford University in the Management Science and Engineering department. In her research, she developed and applied operations research tools to health care policy modeling, with a particular emphasis on resource allocation for the control of infectious diseases such as HIV.

Dragos Dubina, a passionate traveler and explorer, will be there with some mind-shifting stories from his amazing journeys. He made his dream happen and now he wants to share with us his amazing conclusions of his research on Indonesian tribes.

Andrei Savescu – CEO at Societatea De Stiinte Juridice (The Society for Legal Sciences) and founder of Juridice.ro will present us his vision on justice and speak about this concept, as seen by Romanians.

Berti Barbera, Dorin Ștefan and other amazing people will also stand in front of you at TEDxBucharest.

They will share with us life-changing ideas on how to create a better future and speak about the impact of their projects and activities!

Meet the TED community and other remarkable people that just know how to "Make it happen".
