(P) Salon du Cheval Bucharest, a hymn of beauty, grace, character and pure show

23 September 2013

The Equestrian Salon 2013 – Salon du Cheval Bucharest, the second edition, will be hold in Romania during the period September 26-29, in the vicinity of Bucharest (DN1). Organized by the stylish equitation club Equestria, Salon du Cheval aims at bringing in Romania the model of the Salon du Cheval Paris and at creating a source of inspiration for a refined lifestyle, as well as calling the eye to a future potential business in Romania.

The program includes high performance horse presentations, exhibition stands of equestrian products and devices, paralleled by a complex program of equestrian shows: parades, horse stunts, horse acrobat shows, horse training. Salon du Cheval wants to revive the passion for horses and for their abilities of producing impressive shows.

The second edition of Salon du Cheval aims to bring the public closer to the essence of the noble sport of equitation, with a dynamic and a creative show.

Thus, this year, Salon du Cheval has prepared a complex program that includes competitions for all categories of horses and riders, as well as many artistic moments (parades, acrobatics, saults, dressage or stunts). All these moments aim to combine mastery and performance in an exceptional equestrian show.

A special moment of the event is the nocturnal representation "La Nuit du Cheval", that aims to carry the audience in a fairy tale performance and to introduce them in the art of equestrian dressage. The comprehensive equestrian moment is being filled with mesmeric fairy Romanian and folklore thematic events and theatrical imagery focused on equitation dressage and stunting techniques. The program includes moments of horseback acrobatics as well as a high dressage performance with an elaborate sounds and lights show. The spectacularity of the moment will be emphasized by the representation of a natural dressage that will reveal the art of empathic dialogue between man and hors, using the language of these intelligent animals and their native skills. The representation is given by the actor Denis Ștefan.

Thus, Salon du Cheval is an equitation spectacle inspired by the horse’s nobility, associated even since ancient times with power and freedom. The words of Queen Mary of Romania, a passionate horse and equitation passionate, best capture the spirit of the event - "When you ride you feel invincible."/”Riding I feel invincible”.

The competition panel will include the Equestria Trophy (level B, Saturday, 28 September, 17:30 hours) and Bucharest City Grand Prix (level A, Sunday 29 September, 15:00 hours). Nearly 170 horses from Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Sweden and Germania have got registered in the contest up to the present moment. Bucharest City Grand Prix is one of the largest and most important national equestrian competition, along with Romania’s Equitation Cup, The Romanian Equestrian Federation Cup and Romania’s Grand Prix Equitation Circuit. Bucharest City Grand Prix, now at its third edition, boasts over 30 years history, except for a 5 years interruption, followed by Equestria Club’s resuming its tradition. Another spectacular trial is the Finals on groups of horses (“Horses’ criteria”): young horses of 5, 6 and 7 years, which would draw up national ranking at these categories.

The competition panel is credited by renowned Romanian and international personalities, such as Gilbert Remy (Luxemburg) – arbiter and international referee degree III or the Romanian sports commenter Cristian Topescu, son of a national famous equitation champion during the inter-wars period, Felix Topescu. The program also comprises the National Final of the Amateur Riders, as well as the Final of Children’s Championship. All these trials and competitions account for the international credibility and standards assumed by Equestria Club even since its launching in the sports arena, in its aim at developing the equestrian sport in Romania and in feeding Romanian’s equestrian culture and love and respect for horses.
