Though it may seem rather idealistic, happiness is actually a very serious subject on the UN agenda!

27% of all Europeans confirm that they are unhappy. Romanian are the most unhappy country in Europe, according to the annual UN report.

Yes, you read that correctly. The UN is measuring happiness throughout the world each year, starting with 2012. They do this because the UN is planning tobring to Europe a new economical pattern meant to alliviate the current economic crisis.

So, the UN together with a team of experts have contacted the Royal Gouverment of Bhutan – famous for measuring the happiness of their citizens starting with 1972 - and are now working at finding out how can we bring the happiness paradigm to the industrialized countries.

One of their experts, Wenceslao Unanue, is coming to Bucharest on the 5th and 6th of October. Wenceslao is a very keen supporter of this news economical pattern and has solid arguments which prove that this is a much better solution than the current one, especially considering long term development of a country.

You can find out more about him and his work during the Conference about Happiness.
