03 October 2013

Orange Romania recently expanded its 4G coverage to the entire Romanian capital city Bucharest, after offering 4G services only in the central and northern areas of the city. The 4G speed will be available for all Orange clients, including those who use pre-paid cards.

Orange, the largest telecom player in Romania, also offers 4G access to its users in the mountain resorts on Prahova valley, where its mobile internet speed goes up to 75 Mbps for download and 37.5 Mbps for upload.

Orange, owned by France Telecom, had almost flat revenues in the first quarter of 2013, compared to the same period last year, despite an increase in customers. Revenues reached EUR 219 million in the first three months of 2013, down 1.4 percent on a comparable base, while the company saw a slight rise in customers, to just over 10.2 million.
