OMV Petrom to spend EUR 56 mln for pipeline installation

Romania’s oil and gas company OMV Petrom on February 17 launched a tender in the Electronic Public Procurement System (SEAP) for pipeline installation works.

The contract has an estimated value of between RON 32.1 million (EUR 7 million) and RON 265 million (EUR 56 million), plus VAT, and the bidders can submit the documentation by April 3, 2019, according to Mediafax.

The company wants at least 102,400 meters of pipes, of which: 79,900 meters of steel pipes; 12,000 meters of glass fiber (GRE) pipes; and 10,500 meters of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes. The maximum target quantity is 853,625 meters, of which: 610,000 meters - steel; 130,000 meters - GRE; 113,625 meters - HDPE.

The oil company intends to enter into a 48-month framework agreement with a minimum of five and up to eight economic operators, and the bids submitted must be valid until August 3, 2019. Each subsequent contract will be awarded within approximately one and a half months from the date of entry into force of the framework agreement.
