Real estate investment fund NEPI, currently the largest such investor on the Romanian market, will open its mall in Targu – Jiu today (October 16), following an investment of EUR 30 million.

The Shopping City Târgu-Jiu will cover 27,000 sqm and be anchored by Carrefour, H&M, and a 1,000-seat Cinema City multiplex. It will also include retailers Takko, Deichmann, JYSK and Flanco.

This is NEPI’s second mall opening this year, after the Vulcan Value Center in Bucharest in September this year.

Targu Jiu is the capital of Gorj county in Romania and it is the county’s largest city with a population of approximately 78,000 residents and a further 20,000 residents in the surrounding smaller towns. Recent data suggests that Gorj county has one of the highest per capita income levels in the country, according to NEPI.
