Money wire service provider Western Union, local lender Banca Transilvania and card issuer MasterCard have signed an agreement that allows Banca Transilvania’s clients that have Maestro and MasterCard cards to withdraw money sent from abroad from local ATMs.

The service will be enabled this year, reports local Wall-street.ro.

Those who send money will be able to use Western Union’s cash or digital pay-in options, whereas those who will receive it and own a Maestro or MasterCard card will be able to cash it out or to upload it on their accounts.

Now it’s only possible to withdraw money received via Western Union from specialized bank counters.
