MOL's diesel sales in Romania go up 13.5% in first quarter
Hungarian group MOL’s diesel sales in Romania increased by 13.5% in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the gasoline sales were stable in the first three months of this year, according to the group’s quarterly report published on Friday.
MOL has become the third-biggest group in the fuel distribution market in Romania, after OMV Petrom, a company controlled by the Austrian group OMV, and Rompetrol, a business controlled by Kazakh state-owned company KazMunayGas.
At the end of last year, MOL Romania announced that it would carry out investments of EUR 10-15 million in Romania in 2017 in developing its gas station network. The company estimated that it had a market share of about 19% on the retail segment.
