Bucharest ranks 27th out of 89 markets in terms of occupancy cost for logistic spaces, and is among the cheapest destinations in the world, according to a DTZ study, cited by local Mediafax.

The occupancy costs for industrial spaces in Bucharest and Prague are expected to register the lowest increase in the next four years.

“In contrast, the highest growth, registered in Dublin, will reflect the logistics operators’ strong demand for expanding on this market,” according to DTZ.

The occupancy cost for logistic spaces in Bucharest is of about USD 75 per year, which is higher than in Milan, Brussels, Antwerp or Marseille. The costs in Bucharest are however among the lowest in Central and South-Eastern Europe. Budapest, Prague and Warsaw come closer to the maximum level registered in London. In Europe, the average occupancy cost is of USD 120 per year.
