Romanian journalist Luca Niculescu will be appointed ambassador to France, the Presidential Administration confirmed on December 6. President Klaus Iohannis will sign the decree this week.

Luca Niculescu, who was born in 1971, has graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and holds a master in European Journalism, at the University Center for Journalism in Strasbourg. He has been the editor-in-chief of the radio station RFI Romania since 2000.

Niculescu was correspondent for France Info, France Inter, France Culture, TV 5 and "Liberation". He has also worked with Romania’s public television TVR.
