Italian group UniCredit expands IT service center in Iasi to hire another 400 people

UniCredit Business Integrated Solutions, Italian group UniCredit’s global services company, will expand its operations in the Romanian city of Iasi in the following years.

The company recently signed a contract with Romanian developer Iulius Group to lease 7,000 sqm of their new United Business Center 5 office building, which will open at the end of this year. This move will allow UniCredit Business Integrated Solutions to increase its team from 300 employees to 700 in the next three years.

"By the beginning of 2016, all UniCredit Business Integrated Solutions colleagues in Iasi will be located in United Business Center 5, a new building optimally positioned in the central business area of the city and offering one of the best combinations of benefits and facilities available on the local market", said Girolamo Antonucci, Branch Manager of UniCredit Business Integrated Solutions.

The new location will accommodate the existing Back Office and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) employees, as well as the resources to be hired in the years to come in the areas of software development and maintenance.

UniCredit Business Integrated Solutions has some 10,000 employees which provide services in the sectors of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Back Office and Middle Office, Real Estate, Security and Procurement for all of Italian group UniCredit’s operations in 11 countries. The company opened its ICT service center in Iasi in 2012.

Iulius Group is one of the largest real estate developers in Romania. The company owns three shopping malls (in Iasi, Suceava, Cluj-Napoca, and Timisoara) and an integrated real estate projects, Palas Iasi, as well as office spaces. The group has some 55,000 sqm of office spaces, in Iasi and Cluj-Napoca plus 15,000 sqm of office space under development, in the new United Business Center 5 building in Iasi.
