Intel Romania poaches Monica Ene – Pietrosanu from Microsoft to lead R&D center

Intel has appointed Monica Ene – Pietrosanu country manager of its Intel Romania Software Development Center (IRSDC), which was opened in November 2010. The center was initially opened to develop the open source MeeGO platform, but has expanded its activity in the last six months.

Before joining Intel, Monica Ene – Pietrosanu worked with Microsoft in US and in Romania. Most recently, she has led the Global Technical Support Center for Microsoft in Bucharest.

She graduated the Polytechnics University in Bucharest with an MSc in Computer Science and also holds an MSc in Mathematics from the University in Bucharest, as well as a PhD in computer science. She started to work with Microsoft as a Software Design Engineer in Test in 1998, in the US.
