How many Romanians have TV subscriptions?
Romania had 6.8 million TV subscribers at the end of June this year, up by 4.5% compared to June 2014.
Some 4.4 million people owned TV subscriptions to cable networks, namely 65% of the total, whereas 2.3 million Romanians watched TV via satellite networks.
Only 1% of the total number of subscribers watched TV via IP technology. Their number amounted to 70,000 up by 9.8% year-on-year.
About 61% of all the subscribers lived in cities, and the majority of them watched TV via cable networks. On the other side, most of the subscribers who lived in rural areas watched TV through satellite networks.
