Hourly labor cost goes up in Romania in the third quarter
The hourly labor cost in Romania increased by 7.3% in the third quarter of the year compared to the same period last year.
Most economic sectors saw increases in the hourly labor cost, data published by the National Statistics Institute (INS) shows.
The biggest increases were recorded in the other services sector (14.6%), education (12.6%), and administrative and support services (11.3%) in the third quarter compared to the previous three months.
On the other hand, the only sector where the hourly labor costs were lower compared to the third quarter of 2014 was the utilities sector, which includes energy and gas production and distribution.
