Hot days in Romania: 20 medical tents installed in Bucharest – where to find them?

As meteorologists forecasted high temperatures for Romania in the following days, Bucharest's Municipality has decided to take some measures to help people fight the heat stress.

The City Hall started setting up medical tents with air conditioning, water and medical equipment in several high-traffic areas in Bucharest. A total of 20 such tents will be set in Victoriei Square, Romana Square – at the metro station and at the roundabout located in front of the Academy of Economic Studies (ASE), Universitatii Square –  at the Coltea Hospital and the Faculty of Architecture, Unirii Square – in front of the Unirea Shopping Center, and at Regina Maria clinic, and in 11 Iunie Square, Moghioros Square, C.A. Rosetti Square, Iancului Square – at the metro station, Herastrau Park – at the Charles de Gaulle entry, Cismigiu Park, Carol Park, Roma Square, Muncii Square, Bucur Obor store, and the Gara de Nord train station.

Bucharest's Social Assistance Department (DGASMB) also opened several first aid points with water and air conditioning, according to a statement of the Bucharest City Hall. They can be found in DGASMB offices located on Foisorului street (District 3), and Salcetului street (District 4), the social canteens located on Calea Grivitei street (District 1), Orzari street (District 2), Calea Ferentari street (District 5), and Sfantul Constantin street (District 1), the social clinic on Dristorului street (District 3), and the Santhe fito teahouse on Lipscani street (Sector 3). All locations are open between 08:00 and 16:30, except for the one on Lipscani street which stays open until 22:00.

ApaNova will continue to supply the 60 drinking fountains in Bucharest, as well as the water fountains it operates.
