Holcim completes EUR 6 mln waste co-processing platform expansion in Romania

Construction materials producer Holcim has completed the expansion of the waste co-processing platform in Campulung, in Arges county, following an investment of over EUR 6 million, co-founded by the EU, reports local Wall-street.ro

The project was implemented in Valea Mare Pravat commune is Arges county over a period of 20 months. It was conducted by Ecovalor, a Holcim company specialized in waste management. The investment implied the purchase of equipment necessary in co-processing and the construction of a 1,160 sqm hall for chopping and pre-homogenization.

Holcim Romania, part of Swiss group Holcim, is a producer of cement and concrete, currently employing 800 people locally.
