Romania's up and coming rowers have had a fantastic weekend at the European Junior Rowing Championships in Minsk, Belarus, winning seven golds and four silvers at the event. Team Romania took medals across the board, winning gold or silver in every final, in the men's and women's competitions and in the different categories; twos, fours, eights and sculls.

Gold medals came in the women's pairs, the women's fours, as well as in the women's double sculls and the men's double sculls. Romania also took gold in the men's fours and the women's eights.

Two silver medals came in the men's coxed and coxless fours, while Ionela Livia Lehaci took silver in the single sculls. Romania's fourth silver medal was in the men's eights.

The Romanian team participated in 13 out of the 15 categories at the junior event in Belarus. The rowing world is currently gearing up for the European Championships in Seville, Spain, starting on May 31.
