Garrigues leaves Romania, coordinates region from Warsaw office

Spanish law firm Garrigues will close down its office in Bucharest, after having changed the business strategy for the Central and Eastern Europe. The law firm will work in the region through its office in Warsaw, according to the law firm. Garrigues has recently increased its Polish team with several lawyers from the Romanian market.

The Garrigues partner in Bucharest, Mihai Mares and the team of the Bucharest office will continue to support the existing Garrigues clients through a 'best friends' deal. Garrigues had entered the local market in 2008 through a merger with local office Mares & Asociatii.
