French singer Enrico Macias back to Romania for March gig

French singer and musician Enrico Macias will be back in Romania for a gig on March 9, 2012, at Sala Palatului (28, Ion Campineanu St.) in Bucharest, from 20:00. The performance is part of the artist’s tour organized to celebrate his 50 years of career.

Enrico Macias, by his real name Ghrenassia Gaston, was born in 1938 in Constantine, Algeria and emigrated to Paris in 1961. His first album, “Adieu mon pays”, released in 1962, was very well received by the public. The song “J’ai quitte mon pays” became the anthem of the exiled from around the world. Macias was named “Ambassador of Peace” in 1997 by Kofi Annan, former UN secretary general.

Enrico Macias performed for the first time in Romania in April 2011.

Tickets for the gig cost between RON 50 and RON 300 and can be bought from Biletoo store in Unirea Shopping Center, Adevarul and Eminescu bookstores, Diverta, Flanco, Victoria, and Muzica stores, Sala Palatului, Palatul National al Copiilor, or online at www.biletoo.ro, www.bilet.ro, www.blt.ro, www.myticket.ro.
