French outsourcing group plans to hire 300 Romanians in one day via Facebook

02 March 2015

French call center operator Webhelp plans to recruit 300 people via a one-day Facebook campaign, on March 3, 2015.

The company’s recruiting team will be available on March 3 to answer to all of the candidates’ questions and to offer them recommendations that would improve their chances of getting the desired jobs, Webhelp announced.

The French group currently has more than 1,600 employees in Romania, in four centers, of which two are in Bucharest, and two are in Ploiesti and Galati. The company is looking for people for all these centers, as it plans to reach 2,000 people by the end of this year.

“In 2015 our goal is to reach 2015 employees. We have added new clients to our portfolio, and we are ready to develop the team,” said Mihaela Rusu, general manager of Webhelp Romania. “We are looking for solutions to become more accessible to potential candidates. As most of them are young, we know how important for them is to have a less demanding dialog form. Facebook is the ideal environment for that,” she added.

Webhelp Romania currently has more than 9,000 Facebook friends.

The company is looking to hire both call center operators, as well as back office personnel (BPO). The new recruits will benefit from specialized training sessions. Webhelp also offers the candidates who are not fluent in French to attend an intensive French class before they join the company.

Webhelp has more than 22,000 employees in 45 contact centers in France, Romania, Morocco, Madagascar, Belgium, Algeria and the UK.
