Finance minister Eugen Teodorovici plans to start an ample campaign for the Fiscal Code and Fiscal Procedure Code and to come up with a legislative package that is new, modern and easy to apply by fall.

He added that the two codes would be analyzed article by article together with the Parliament and business organizations, local News.ro reported.

Teodorovici also wants to set new rules on how changes to the fiscal codes can be made in the future, to prevent potential abuses by future governments. He wants a provision that only allows the Parliament to add new provisions to the fiscal codes while the Government should only be allowed to come up with measures to simplify and streamline the two codes.
