Romanian Finance Minister: Fiscal Code needs international partners’ green light

16 June 2015

Romania could complete the new Fiscal Code in the Parliament by the end of June, but will not approve it without the green light of the European Commission, International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, said Finance Minister Eugen Teodorovici.

The new Code needs to be supported by Romania’s international partners to have credibility, the Minister added, cited by local Agerpres.

He also said that Romania will manage to keep the assumed budget deficit targets for this year. The country can also successfully close the agreement with the IMF this year, Teodorovici said.
