Family – owned Romanian private healthcare operator ProEstetica wants EUR 1.3 million turnover

dr. Dana JianuThe owners of private healthcare clinic ProEstetica, the Jianu family, have invested some EUR 4 million in the business in its 19 years of activity, and expect a EUR 1.3 million turnover in 2013, up 10 percent on the year before.

The business started as a plastic surgery clinic by doctors Stefan and Dana Jianu (in picture) in 1994 with an investment of 80,000 Deutsche Mark into a medical office in Amzei Square, which started attracting investors. “Since 2007, every year, we've had one or two proposals for partial sale or merger,” said Dr Dana Jianu.

With 30 employees and 15 doctors, ProEstetica, which has performed 10,000 surgeries so far, plans to continue investments in medical and surgery equipment, a new surgery room and in ProEstetica Medical Spa.

ProEstetica's six – story headquarters in the Dorobanti area has three operating theaters, 18 beds, and is accredited as a surgery hospital. The headquarters alone required an investment of EUR 1 million.
