European Literature Night celebrated in Bucharest this September

A total of 12 cultural institutions in Bucharest will be represented at this year’s edition of European Literature Night.

The event will take place on September 9, between 19:00 and 23:00, at Carturesti Verona bookshop, Ion Mincu House, Piua Book Bar, Tandarica Theater, and the European Public Space.

In these locations, the organizers propose readings from authors such as Svetlana Carstean (at the proposal of the Romanian Cultural Institute – ICR), Claudiu M. Florian, Livia Stefan, Sorin Ghergut, Radu Nitescu, and Andrei Dosa (the European Public Space), Orhan Pamuk (Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center), György Dragomán (Hungarian Institute), Szczepan Twardoch and Andrzej Sapkowski (Polish Institute), Rui Zink (Camoes Institute/Portugal’s Embassy to Bucharest), Miguel de Cervantes and Antonio Muñoz Molina (Cervantes Institute), Cesare Pavese (the Italian Cultural Institute), Ingeborg Bachmann and Paul Celan (Austrian Cultural Forum), Wolfgang Herrndorf (Goethe-Institut), Makis Tsitas (Greek Cultural Foundation), Miloš Urban, Jáchym Topol, and Jiří Kratochvil (the Czech Center).
