EUR 57 million green project to start at CET Govora

The CET Govora thermal power plant will receive EUR 57 million for retooling through the Sectoral Operational Programme (SOP) for Environment. The money will go to electrostatic rehabilitation, desulphurisation equipments and compliance with environmental standards. All the paperwork for this project will be sent to Brussels by October 1, manager of CET Govora Mihai Balan said.

He also announced that the main consumer, Oltchim, would restart its activity this autumn.

"Oltchim was also a topic on the Ministry of Economy Thursday's agenda. I do not make other comments except that things are on the right track and Oltchim will restart its activity this autumn,” Balan also said.
