Erste: Romania’s 2015 budget should be outlined with priority

18 November 2014

Austrian Erste Group’s analysts estimate that there won’t be an increased volatility on domestic financial markets following the presidential elections in Romania and point out that the government's priority is to provide an outline of the 2015 budget to cover the pre-election populist measures.

"We are not expecting a high volatility on the domestic financial markets on the short term, but things can change depending on political changes that might even include a redesign of the parliamentary majority in the next six months," says the Erste Group report.

The Government’s priority should include the outline of the budget for 2015, which should indicate how the populist measures taken before the elections will be covered, reads the same report.
