EBRD could lend EUR 15 mln to Sibiu City Hall in Romania

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) ponders granting a loan of up to EUR 15 million to the Sibiu City Hall.

The municipality needs the money to finance investments in road infrastructure and urban transport. It wants to rehabilitate streets, lease road maintenance activities and prepare an Urban Mobility Plan.

The projects’ total cost is estimated at EUR 18.35 million, reports local Mediafax. EBRD will discuss the loan in September.

The international bank granted Sibiu over EUR 40 million for projects such as the rehabilitation of public roads and water systems in the last ten years, according to EBRD.
