Dutch Ambassador: There will be a lot of work for Romania and the EU

20 November 2015

Dutch Ambassador to Bucharest Stella Ronner-Grubacic said yesterday that “there would be a lot of work, not only for Romania, but for the entire European Union”, due to the things taking place in Europe, such as the terrorist attacks in Paris from last week or the refugee crisis.

The European states need to show solidarity and cooperate against terrorism, she added, reports local Mediafax.

She also said that the Netherlands hasn’t changed its views about Romania joining the Schengen area. The Ambassador added that she would talk about this when it would be on the European Council’s agenda.

Starting January 1, next year, the Netherlands will take over the presidency of the European Union.
