Deutsche Bank’s tech center in Romania reaches 200 employees, targets 500

German financial group Deutsche Bank reached 200 employees at its technology center in Bucharest and will continue hiring. The group’s target is to create 500 IT&C jobs in Romania until 2016.

Deutsche Bank’s center in Bucharest, which operates on a company called DB Global Technology SRL, develops software solutions for the group’s global operations. The center has hired over 40 engineers in the last three months and passed 200 employees in Romania.

The center plans to hire 200 more specialists until 2016, for quality assurance, software development, project management, IT architecture, and functional/business analysis.

The technology center occupies 6,000 sqm of office space in the BOB office building, owned by real estate investment fund Globalworth. The center also has 750 sqm of relaxation areas and 240 sqm dedicated to socializing spaces, as well as conference rooms, meeting rooms, cafeterias and other facilities.

Deutsche Bank invested some EUR 10 million in the center, which it opened officially in May 2014. The group benefits from a EUR 15.7 million state aid that covers some of the EUR 39.24 million in personnel costs it estimated until end-2016.
