Contemporary dance takes center stage at 'eXplore Dance Festival' in Bucharest

An event dedicated to contemporary dance, eXplore Dance Festival, will take place this year between October 1 and October 16 in the Romanian capital city Bucharest, gathering artists in Europe, USA, Canada and New Zealand. The event will be held at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Odeon Theatre and Nottara Theatre, where acclaimed choreographers like Meg Stuart, Boris Charmatz, Philipp Gehmacher, Eszter Salamon, Jonathan Burrows, will present their creations next to some of the most creative European artists.

This year's eXplore Dance Festival program will include 30 performances, 15 dance films, 8 workshops, 5 lectures, as well as a series of special events and programs, such as Meet the Next Generation which is an intensive international coaching program for young choreographers, and Critical Endeavour and Prix Jardin d’Europe .
