Construction company Skanska completes 80% of Green Court Bucharest’s first phase

Swedish construction and development company Skanska has completed 80 percent of Green Court Bucharest’s first phase, the company’s first project in Romania.

According to the Skanska’s plan, the first phase will be fully completed in the fourth quarter of the year.

Almost 350 employees work for the first phase of the project. Some 25,000 cubic meters of concrete, 11,000 sqm of glass and 3,200 tonnes of reinforcing steel have been used so far for this project.

Once completed, the A building will have a leasable area of 19,500 sqm, from the project’s total of 52,000 sqm. Each building of the project will have 12 floors above-ground and three underground levels.

Green Court Bucharest, located in Floreasca - Barbu Vacarescu area, will offer several facilities, such as parking and facilities for cyclists (lockers and showers) and an interior courtyard with Wi-Fi.

Skanska started its operations in Romania in 2011 and is part of Skanska Group, which currently employs 57,000 people in selected home markets in Europe, the U.S. and Latin America.
